OUR STORY

Rescue Charity Project: A Beacon of Hope for Orphans and Blind Children

In the heart of Uganda, where the echoes of children’s laughter often fade into the silence of struggle, the Rescue Charity Project stands as a beacon of hope. It is a mission born from compassion, fueled by the unwavering belief that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves dignity, education, and a chance to dream.

A Life of Darkness, A Future of Light

Among the many faces of hope is David, a young blind boy who was abandoned at birth. His world was one of darkness, not just by sight but by circumstance. Without access to braille materials, proper education, or basic necessities, his future seemed uncertain. When the Rescue Charity Project found him, he had never read a book, never worn a new pair of clothes, and never known the warmth of a full meal.

With the support of compassionate donors and volunteers, David received braille learning materials, food, and education. Today, he reads fluently, dreams of becoming a lawyer, and has found a family within the charity. His story is not just one of survival but of transformation.

The Silent Struggle of Blind Girls -

In the heart of Uganda, where the echoes of children’s laughter often fade into the silence of struggle, the Rescue Charity Project stands as a beacon of hope. It is a mission born from compassion, fueled by the unwavering belief that every child, regardless of their circumstances, deserves dignity, education, and a chance to dream.

For blind girls, the lack of access to menstrual hygiene products presents an even greater challenge. Many are unable to afford or even access proper sanitary pads, leading to unsanitary and unsafe alternatives. Without guidance or accessible hygiene education, they often suffer in silence, missing school and facing immense discomfort.

Through the Rescue Charity Project, blind girls receive not only sanitary pads but also hygiene education in braille and verbal guidance to help them manage their periods with dignity.

Education

We offer education & braille literacy programs, school fees and school materials to ensure children have access to quality education. Additionally, we provide resources such as braille books and educational materials to support their learning

Feeding

The people we serve face food insecurity, lacking consistent access to an adequate and affordable food supply. Our feeding programs aim to address this issue by providing regular meals to orphaned children

Menstrual Hygiene

Offer menstrual health education, hygiene kits, sanitary pads and reproductive health services to girls, promoting menstrual hygiene management and addressing gender-specific health needs. To keep them from getting deadly infections.
